Georgia Southern: Georgia Southern University Football Strength and Conditioning Department is accepting applications for Winter 2024 Internship, beginning January. This is a volunteer internship and provides no monetary compensation. The position will assist in the day-to-day operations of the Eagles football program. This includes but not limited to: warm-ups, strength and speed/agility training, conditioning, athlete evaluations, sports science data collection, set up & break down of weight room, and maintenance of the facility. Applicants are encouraged but not required to be certified in one of all the following: CSCS, SCCC, USAW. Wayne State College (NE): Wayne State College has an opening for an assistant strength and conditioning coach. This is a restricted earnings position. The position will serve as the department’s main assistant, run their own teams, and assist with football. The ideal candidate will have collegiate coaching experience and be nationally certified by NSCA/CSCCa. Position pays $30,000. No housing or meals will be provided. Duke: Duke University Olympic Sports Performance is looking for qualified candidates for our internship position for the Summer 2024. Why you should apply: Duke University Athletics is one of the most successful programs in NCAA Division I and competes in the Atlantic Coast Conference. This hands-on, immersive one semester coaching assistant position will allow you to work with 23 men’s and women’s programs (excluding football, and men’s and women’s basketball) and alongside eight full-time sports performance coaches. Responsibilities: Be an integral member of our staff, assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of sports performance programs, attend practices and games, and participate in our internship curriculum. Our lecture- and practical-based curriculum consists of technology exposure and experience, literature reviews, program writing, research presentations, and resume and interview preparation. Qualifications: A strong work ethic, enthusiasm, punctuality, and a desire to pursue a career in the field of Sports Performance. Internship Tracks: Internship positions are limited to one semester and are available for the spring, summer or fall semester. We offer two different tracks for applicants. 1. Course Credit position - Undergraduate and graduate level credits are available for students who qualify through their university. We will ensure you reach the hours needed through your school and assist in any needed paperwork. 2. NSCA CSCS position - Applicants who are eligible to sit for the CSCS exam, may select this track.
