Tennessee: University of Tennessee is accepting applications for VOLUNTEER sports science interns to contribute to the Football Strength & Conditioning Program for the 2024 Summer Semester. This is an UNPAID opportunity that provides experience assisting the Sports Science Staff with the implementation of comprehensive, sport-specific, injury prevention and performance enhancement training programs. In addition to daily responsibilities, this internship includes a professional development curriculum. The goal of this internship is to develop highly effective sports science coaches who are job ready. This internship is expected to begin May 25th to August 24th, 2024. Prospective candidates must possess a desire to become a sports science professional, strong character, and demonstrate effective organization and communication skills.Required qualifications include achievement or current pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or related course of study. Vanderbilt: Vanderbilt University Football Sports Performance Department is now accepting applications for Volunteer internship positions for Summer 2024. The internship will begin tentatively on May 27th and will go through July 31st, with the possibility of staying on for the 2024 season. This is an unpaid position. Responsibilities include but are not limited to; assisting with the supervision and execution of the Sports Performance program for Football, set up and break down of daily training, routine maintenance/cleaning of the training facilities, data collection and completion of the internship curriculum. Required qualifications include a strong work ethic, completion, or current pursuit of an undergraduate or graduate degree in exercise science or a related course of study, and a desire to become a strength and conditioning professional. Applications will be taken until the positions are filled. All potential applicants are strongly advised to make sure this internship is economically feasible before applying. Lindenwood (FCS - MO): The Lindenwood University Athletic Performance Department is now accepting applications to fill a position for the Fall of 2024 with an anticipated start date of August 1 st , 2024. This is a Graduate Assistant Athletic Performance Coach position (official job title is Athletic Performance Coach, student employee). The position is paying $16.00 per hour for 40 hours per week. The Graduate Assistant Athletic Performance Coach will be responsible for 3-4 sports and assist with others if needed. Team assignments will be determined by the Assistant Athletic Director of Athletic Performance. We are considering candidates who possess the following qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science or related field, CSCS or SCCC, and a CPR/First Aid/AED certification. Experience with all elements of strength & conditioning at the collegiate level is preferred. The deadline for application is April 15 th , 2024.
