Utah: Utah Football Sports Performance is seeking motivated interns for Spring 2025 (Jan 6. - Apr. 25). This is a VOLUNTEER position that offers experience in all aspects of the Football Sports Performance program. This position will prepare interns for the NSCA (CSCS) exam. Interns will gain experience with technologies such as FYTT, Catapult, Vald: FORCEDECKS and NORDBORD. Candidates need to pursue a professional S&C certification and college degree. Candidates must also possess a strong work ethic, ability to adapt to the demands of a power 4 football schedule, and passion for training and sports performance. This position will provide possible opportunities in the field of strength and conditioning, and course credit if needed. Long Island University: The Long Island University Sports Performance staff is actively seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join them as a full-time Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate a strong work ethic. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree; Certification in CPR/AED/First Aid; Ability to adapt to a demanding schedule and work in a fast-paced environment; CSCS or SCCC certification; Experience with intercollegiate athletics is preferred. The Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach will primarily work with 2-3 smaller Olympic sports and assist with football. Gallaudet (D-III - Washington, DC): Gallaudet University is seeking a well-qualified intern for the 2025 spring semester. Gallaudet University is the premier institute of higher learning for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. The successful applicants will gain hands-on experience working with all 14 NCAA Division III varsity sports. It is the goal of Gallaudet University staff to provide interns with a well-rounded experience incorporating all facets of strength and conditioning. Interns who are entering into the internship program will assist the strength coaches with all sports and implement the strength, power, speed, agility, conditioning, movement assessment, and corrective exercise programs. In addition, interns will be taught the fundamentals of yearly planning and program design. An emphasis will be placed upon the professional development of each intern in an effort to prepare them for a career as a collegiate strength and conditioning coach. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must have or be working towards the completion of a degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Physical Education or another related field. Interns with either collegiate athletic or coaching experience are preferred but not required. A strong work ethic and willingness to work extended hours are a must. In order to apply, each candidate must be First Aid and CPR/AED certified and either working towards or already certified strength coach. Knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) is preferred. If the successful candidate has no prior knowledge, it will be expected that the intern is willing to learn. Interested applicants shall submit a cover letter, resume, and two references.
