Virginia Tech: Virginia Tech Football Strength and Conditioning is looking to fill Volunteer Internship positions for the fall 2023 semester This is an unpaid position that is responsible for assisting the VT Strength and Conditioning staff with the implementation of the strength and conditioning program, set up and break down of all workouts, maintenance and upkeep of the weight room and facility, data collection, and other duties as assigned by the Senior Director of Strength and Conditioning and/or the Internship Coordinator. In this role, you will gain valuable experience working within the Virginia Tech football program, working directly with the Strength and Conditioning staff, Sport Science department, players, and will allow you to study under a CSCCa approved mentor. Required qualifications include the completion or current pursuit of an undergraduate degree in exercise science or a related course of study, a CPR/AED certification, a desire to become a strength and conditioning professional, and a strong work ethic. Other preferred qualifications include certification, or the pursuit of a certification from the NSCA and/or the CSCCa, and some form of previous coaching experience. The internship will begin in August and run through the completion of the 2023 football season. Williams Field (AZ): Williams Field HS has an immediate opening for a full-time Director of Strength and Conditioning. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (Master’s Degree preferred), teaching certificate or ability to apply to meet state standards, CSCS/NCCA or certification of equivalence. Someone who wants to run a collegiate style program with a lot of energy in a state of the art facility. Previous team/group coaching experience is highly preferred as you will be coaching your own groups. Teams in charge of: Football, Wrestling, and Baseball. Must be able to develop professional relationships with a wide range of student- athletes, coaches, and parents. Pay: 60+k based on experience. Liberty: The Liberty University Football Strength and Conditioning Department is now accepting applications for the positions of VOLUNTEER INTERN for Fall Semester of 2023. DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES will include but are not limited to assisting in the implementation of the Strength and Conditioning programs; set up and break down for daily activities, routine maintenance and cleaning of the training facilities, and participation in the internship curriculum. NO MONETARY COMPENSATION, HOUSING, OR TRANSPORTATION will be provided, however, Interns will receive experience working in a Division 1 training environment and have the opportunity to earn recommendations for future career opportunities and/or receive college credit if applicable. The Intern’s level of ambition will determine the level of the learning experience. QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must have a strong work ethic and have a desire to become a strength and conditioning professional. Interns are expected to be punctual, enthusiastic, reliable, productive and consistent along with having the financial capability to hold the position for the duration of the internship. Ideal candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree or be in the last semester of coursework earning and undergraduate degree in exercise science or related field of study. Certification from one or more of the following (NSCA, CSCS; CSCCa, SCCC; USAW) is preferred but not required.
