Texas: The University of Texas at Austin Football Performance Department is accepting applications for 1-2 VOLUNTEER strength and conditioning intern positions for the Spring 2025 Semester. Internship will potentially begin January 1st, 2025 and continue through May 10th, 2025. QUALIFICATIONS: A strong desire to pursue a career as a strength and conditioning coach; a strong work ethic; punctual; completed or working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science or a related field; current CPR/AED certification. Preferred: Currently possess or working toward CSCS, SCCC and/or USAW certification; previous internship/coaching experience. RESPONSIBILITIES: Assisting strength coaches in the implementation and supervision of strength and conditioning/sports performance programs; daily weight room maintenance and up keep; and any other duties assigned by the strength and conditioning staff. COMPENSATION: Interns will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the field at the Division-I level, achieve necessary internship/practicum hours for SCCC and/or fulfill school credit if necessary. Hendrick Motorsports: Hendrick Motorsports, a leading NASCAR Motorsports operation, is currently seeking a full time Assistant Pit Coach for the Strength and Conditioning Department. This position will report to and work under the guidance of the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. The ideal candidate would have knowledge of nutrition, exercise techniques, and a strong knowledge of physical training methods, including writing and prescribing workouts, to produce maximum performance results. The candidate would have the ability to manage, motivate, and lead others while working within an extremely fast paced environment.
