Jimmy Rogers only spent the past year coaching with Danny Freund, the veteran FCS offensive coordinator who logged several seasons at North Dakota before he helped supercharge the Jackrabbits in 2024.
With Rogers having accepted the top job at Washington State, a last vestige of the PAC-12, he's set to reunite with Freund.
Sources tell FootballScoop that Freund will be the next offensive coordinator for the Cougars, who are transitioning to Rogers after losing coach Jake Dickert to the top spot at Wake Forest earlier this month.
A former team captain at North Dakota, Freund helped that program to six FCS Playoffs appearances before he made the move last January to South Dakota State, which advanced this year to the FCS Semifinals.
