Pat Narduzzi fills defensive line job with Group of Five coordinator (Tim Daoust)

Pat Narduzzi lost one of the top defensive line coaches in college football in Charlie Partridge earlier this month when he decided to take an opportunity with the Indianapolis Colts.

This morning, Narduzzi officially filled that opening with someone he's worked with previously.

ECU special teams coordinator Tim Daoust is the Panthers new defensive line coach, the report shares.

Daoust also coached defensive ends / outside linebackers for the Pirates.

He and Daoust previously worked together at Northern Illinois and Cincinnati as Daoust was just starting off his coaching career.

Daoust brings over two decades of Division I coaching experience to Narduzzi's staff, and has been a special teams coordinator in the ACC at Syracuse, and a defensive coordinator at a few MAC stops (Western Michigan and Ball State).

Narduzzi just wrapped up his ninth season leading the Pitt program, and continues to rebuild his staff following a disappointing 3-9 campaign last fall.

The two years prior to this last season, Pitt had won a total of 20 games, including an 11-3 season in 2021 where they won the ACC.
