Northwestern reportedly losing staffer to NFL opportunity (Northwestern)

Pat Fitzgerald has replaced a few coaches on his staff following an uncharacteristic 1-11 finish to the 2022 season.

Heading into this fall, Northwestern will have three new coaches, all from the FCS level, starting with two new additions on defense including defensive coordinator David Braun (North Dakota State) and Christian Smith (from South Dakota State), and one on offense in receivers coach Armon Binns (from Youngstown State).

Now, Fitz has himself a new opening on his support staff.

Neil Stratton shares today that Noah Evangelides is leaving the Northwestern staff to join the Chargers.

Evangelides was most recently a graduate assistant for the Wildcats program, where he worked with the offensive line.

In LA, as a part of former FootballScoop D-III Coordinator of the Year Brandon Staley's staff, he will serve as a football research analyst, Stratton adds.

There, he joins Brandon Staley, who won our FootballScoop Coordinator of Year award in 2016 during his time at John Carroll (D-III - OH).
