In fact, during the last two seasons, Duluth called a designed QB run or packaged a read element or designed QB run on over 20% of all plays, not just run plays. This season it's signal-caller rushed for over 1,000 yards on essentially two concepts: The zone bluff (14 yards a carry) and G lead concept which helped in generating 243 yards per game on the ground last season. Coach Vogler shares exclusively with X&O Labs how he combines double load principles in his zone read concept and the adjustable rules he builds in to get multiple pullers in his G lead concept, which he will use with no backs and multiple tight ends on the field.
