Former Pitt, Wofford staffer gets shot with NFL’s Colts (bryan bing)

Bryan Bing logged time under Charlie Partridge at Pittsburgh and Josh Conklin at Wofford.

Now Bing, a former standout-player at NCAA Division III program Methodist, is getting one of the biggest breaks of his young coaching career.

Bing is headed to the National Football League to work with the Indianapolis Colts’ franchise.

Led by new head coach Shane Steichen, Indianapolis is welcoming Bing into the mix as a member of the prestigious Tony Dungy Diversity Coaching Fellowship.

"I am thrilled that the Colts are seeking to help build diversity and inclusion in NFL coaching by launching this Diversity Fellowship coaching program," Dungy said in a release that announced the fellowship program. "It's a tremendous honor for me to be identified with the program. I applaud the Irsay family and the organization for taking this proactive step, and I hope it encourages other teams to look for ways to promote equal opportunities in the coaching ranks."

In addition to his time as a graduate assistant coach at Pitt under the nationally acclaimed Partridge, Bing coached the Terriers’ defensive line at Wofford under former head coach Conklin, who also had a distinguished run on staff at Pittsburgh.

Additionally, Bing was on staff previously at Football Championship Subdivision program Butler. He also spent time on staff in the Mid-American Conference at Kent State, where Bing continued his development as a young defensive coach.
