Five Georgia assistants earn extensions in addition to raises (Raises)

Five of Kirby Smart's assistants at Georgia have earned extensions in addition to their raises, the Athens Banner-Herald shares this morning.

Defensive coordinator Glenn Schumann's salary in 2023 will be over double what he earned last fall.

The Dawgs defensive play caller made $805k last year, and is scheduled to now make $1.9 million as one of the highest paid coordinators in college football, as we shared previously.

Tight ends and assistant head coach Todd Hartley's compensation is going from $665k to $850k as he and running backs coach Dell McGee will be the highest paid non-coordinators on staff.

McGee got a raise from $805k to $850k, offensive line coach Stacy Searels went from $655k to $750k and outside linebackers coach Chidera Uzo-Diribe got a modest bump from $455k to $500k.

Four of the coaches also received one-year extensions as well, with Hartley inking a two-year extension.

Schumann and Hartley are now inked through June of 2026, while Searels, Uzo-Diribe, and McGee are all locked in through June of 2025.

The raises and extensions come after Georgia captured their second straight national title to cap a perfect 15-0 season.

We previously shared that new offensive coordinator Mike Bobo will earn $1 million this fall, as he steps into the role vacated by Todd Monken's departure to run the Ravens offense in the NFL.
