Steve, the youngest child of Iowa head coach Kirk Ferentz, has landed a new coaching job.
After three seasons as an assistant linebackers coach in the NFL for the Dolphins, Ferentz has been announced as the latest addition to the coaching staff at South Dakota (FCS).
He will work primarily with the outside linebackers for the Coyotes.
Steve played tight end and offensive line for his dad at Iowa from 2012-16, and transitioned into coaching in 2017.
He would go on to spend two seasons as a defensive graduate assistant at Central Michigan, where he worked with the linebackers before landing the opportunity with the Dolphins.
