Deion Sanders speaks on future at Colorado amid NFL, college speculation (NFL)

Flanked by Colorado superfan Peggy Coppom, the Buffaloes 100-year-old, decades-long ticket-holder who has soared in visibility due to her unprecedented friendship with the head coach, Deion Sanders again discussed his future in Boulder, Colorado.

Coach Prime also noted his athletics director and the man who orchestrated his arrival atop the Buffaloes program, Rick George, was in the audience during Tuesday's press conference.

So, Deion Sanders feigned a bit of offense when asked about his coaching future.

"Don't talk like that with my A.D. in here; that's so disrespectful," Prime chided with a laugh. "You're going to talk about me going somewhere with my A.D. in here? They. mentioned us with a lot of other stuff, too, before we started winning, didn't they?

"That wasn't fair, was it? Price. There's a price of everything."

Then, Sanders delivered the message that should have assuaged, for now, any concerns Colorado fans or George might have about the potential lure of another job. Coach Prime has been mentioned with the expected opening atop the NFL's Dallas Cowboys, for whom he starred during part of his career, and also was linked to other potential high-profile college vacancies.

"I am happy where I am, man. I'm good," said Sanders, who has guided the Buffaloes within two wins of a Big 12 Conference title-game appearance. "I got a kickstand down. You know what a kickstand is? A lot of people in here at an age they don't know what a kickstand is. That means I'm resting, I'm good, I'm happy. I'm excited, I'm enthusiastic about where I am.

"I love it here, truly do. Next question."

Colorado travels to Kansas City, Missouri, Saturday to face Kansas, which has in consecutive weeks defeated nationally ranked Big 12 foes Iowa State and then-undefeated BYU, respectively.
