For a handful of years now college football programs have taken cameras inside the program for big events to capitalize on good momentum for things like a coaches first day on the job, or national signing day, and a host of other big events.
Meanwhile, outside of shows like HBO's Hard Knocks or NFL Films, the NFL allowing cameras in during special moments has seemed as unlikely as breaking into the gold vaults at Fort Knox than the inviting nature that college football has embraced.
Well, the Indianapolis Colts broke that mold by allowing cameras inside their War Room for the NFL Draft this year as a continuation of the outstandinig series they did on their scouting department (which you can catch here).
The footage also captures the moment in the War Room when former Colts punter Pat McAfee stole the spotlight of the draft with his unique spin and announcement of one of their picks. Spoiler Alert: They found it just as hilarious as everyone else.
Towards the end, as the draft comes to a close, GM Chris Ballard and his guys talk about why calling up undrafted free agents may actually be the toughest part of the day.
Here, on The Colts are on the Clock you get the opportunity to see the process behind closed doors on draft day, and how things run like a well-oiled machine on the big day.
