Chris Creighton took the head coaching job at Eastern Michigan knowing that he had find ways for the program to "close the gap" in the MAC, and nationally.

That's been his mission during his first 100 days on the job and he's done some creative stuff to connect with his new program. The staff and players have participated in a "polar plunge", and they've had broomball tournaments and bowling trips. Whether doing those activities together as a team is enough to produce wins in the fall remains to be seen, but Creighton wasted no time in putting his own stamp on the program.

"We have program goals that we'll passionately pursue inside and out. The first being education first, the second is being our best, the third is being a family, the fourth is having fun, and the fifth being impact men."

"In these short three months, I feel as though we have some great concrete examples of those things transpiring and those guys are training at 6 in the morning and setting personal records."
