Southern Oregon's path to the NAIA title game has been anything but ideal.
In order to make it to the school's first ever national championship game, SOU played the quarterfinal and semifinal games on the road against two NAIA national powers, #1 (Carroll) and #3 (St. Xavier)teams in the country. Southern Oregon beat them both.
Here's a look at the video that they watched before knocking of St. Xavier last week.
"Don't ever quit on yourself. Sometime in your life someone is going to draw a line in front of you, whether it's imaginary or real, and they're going to ask you to cross it. That decision is probably going to end up defining who you are."
"You can either not cross the line, and cower down and be nothing, or you can take the chance to cross the line and get hit." the narrator says.
"No matter how hard you get hit, if you keep getting back up you're going to be surprised at what you can get done."
Oh yeah, there's one thing that I almost forgot to mention. This video was put together by receivers coach Matt Adkins on top of his duties of preparing the receivers for each playoff game. Pretty impressive.
Really nice job here by coach Adkins.
Southern Oregon will face Marian (IN) in the NAIA national title game December 19th.
