In his second season at the helm of the Ohio Bobcats, Tim Albin led the MAC program to a 10-4 year and won the MAC Coach of the Year award.
That success has led to an extension and raise, according to Pete Thamel.
Thamel shares that Albin and the school have agreed to a two-year extension taking him through the 2026 season.
The report adds that the extension comes with a significant raise as well, with Albin's annual salary going from $535k to $700k annually.
Also, a new clause has been added to the deal that gives him an automatic one-year extension for winning either eight games, or the MAC championship.
Albin earned the promotion from offensive coordinator to head coach following the retirement of Frank Solich prior to the 2021 season.
His first year, the Bobcats went 3-9. The seven-win improvement was one of the biggest turnarounds in major college football, and the Bobcats will return a number of key pieces for year three under Albin.
