Maryland: Maryland did not practice today, which was supposed to be the Terps' first work day after missing Saturday's Ohio State game. A decision on this Saturday's date with Michigan State will be made later in the week.

South Carolina: Asked about the South Carolina opening, Brent Venables said this: "Whether or not at some point in time you want to be a head coach in the future, right now your focus is all on Florida State and getting ready for that."

South Carolina: Here's what Billy Napier had to say about the South Carolina vacancy: “You guys have been around me for a couple years now; you know I’m not gonna comment on those things,” Napier said on KPEL 1420 AM. “But I do think any time that a member of our team gets recognition or is well thought of out there … it’s a direct reflection of hundreds of people. I mean, we’ve got so many people that work hard in our organization and on our team, all the way down to the people that clean our building and the walk-ons on our team that never play.

This position is responsible for developing their position group on and off the field, run own position meetings, assist with special teams, and have own recruiting area. Must have a strong work ethic, passionate, extremely motivated and accepted into graduate school (2.9 minimum GPA). South Carolina: Connor Shaw, the former Gamecock quarterback who was hired as the program's director of player development earlier this year, is being elevated to the 10th assistant coaching position and will work with the quarterbacks.

Shorter (D-II - GA):Shorter University is seeking applicants for a OL/TE graduate assistant coaching position. Responsibilities include coaching a position, managing a recruiting territory, coordinating on-campus visits, Hudl video, scouting reports/breakdowns and other duties assigned by the head coach and offensive coordinator. Experience playing or coaching TE or Offensive Line at the college level is preferred. Position includes 100% tuition waiver for the Master’s program of your choosing (which is an exclusively online program), and a full meal plan. There is no stipend for this position. There will be the opportunity for additional income available. On campus housing is not available. Admission to the Shorter University Graduate School (minimum GPA of 2.5) is required. Position must start no later than January 11th, 2021. Shorter University is a private Baptist university in Rome, Georgia. It was founded in 1873. In the fall of 2020, it traditional enrollment reached 1,250 students. The 155-acre main academic and residential campus is located 72 miles northwest of Atlanta, Georgia in Rome. As a Christian institution the coaches at Shorter University lead by example on and off the field. Husson (D-III - ME): Husson University invites applications for a Full Time Assistant Coach/Offensive Coordinator. This position will work specifically with offensive skill players (QBs or WRs) with coordinator and play calling duties for the qualified candidate. South Carolina: Will Muschamp was relieved of his duties at South Carolina last night. Details, including his hefty buyout and who will take over as interim head coach, here.

Southern Arkansas (D-II): Mike McCarty, who had been leading the program as interim head coach, has been elevated to the head coaching position. McCarty, who has over three decades of experience ranging from Division I, II and the Junior College level and 22 seasons as an offensive coordinator, takes over following the retirement of Bill Keopple.

Shorter (D-II - GA): Shorter University is looking to fill an open home date in the spring on March 27th in Rome, GA.
