Steve Spurrier is officially a head coach again (Featured)

Back when Steve Spurrier stepped away at South Carolina back in October of 2015, he was very measured in saying he was resigning, and not retiring at 70 years old. He noted at his farewell press conference that he'd be willing to come back for the right opportunity, noting how nice it would be to toss the ball around as a high school assistant.

Well the right opportunity has come around, with the newly-founded Alliance of American Football's Orlando-based team.

Spurrier made the news, which was rumored a week or so ago, official via Twitter.

While it seems like these type of leagues pop up all the time and tend to fizzle out without much fanfare, no league has landed a name brand coach like Spurrier to lead a team.

Based on that, and that alone, this Alliance of American Football is going to be can't miss stuff for a lot of folks, especially coaches.
