Stan Drayton’s staff renovation going into Year 3 at Temple continues.
Sources tell FootballScoop Tuesday morning that Kevon Beckwith is joining the Owls’ defensive staff.
Per a source, Beckwith is expected to coach the defensive interior under coordinator Everett Withers in Drayton’s Owls program. Arriving at Temple from Southeast Missouri, Beckwith also owns previous stops at Austin Peay, Northwestern State, ULL and Incarnate Word, where in 2022 Beckwith coached the defensive line and served as UIW’s running game coordinator.
Drayton is retooling his Temple staff on both sides of the ball as he transitions the Owls into 2024.
Temple recently separated with safeties coach Marvin Clecidor and also has explored additional staff adjustments, sources shared with FootballScoop.
