Sources: NCAA Division II program adding offensive line coach from Wake Forest (Neal DAvis)

Bemidji State, a consistent NCAA Division II Playoffs participant, is snagging a young coach who's spent his past three seasons in the Atlantic Coast Conference to coach its offensive line and head up recruiting.

Sources tell FootballScoop that Neal Davis has accepted a position as Bemidji State's next offensive line coach and recruiting coordinator after being on staff in Dave Clawson's Wake Forest program the past three years.

Davis held roles from graduate assistant to offensive quality control coach to assistant offensive line coach.

During Davis's time at Wake Forest, the Demon Deacons won a combined 19 games, including an ACC Atlantic Division title and two postseason games in the 2021-22 seasonss.

A former offensive lineman at the University of Findlay (Ohio), Davis started all 46 games of his career as the program's center.

Davis, who helped Findlay reach the NCAA DII Playoffs during his playing career, launched his coaching career at FBS program Eastern Illinois.

Bemidji State (Minnesota) finished its 2023 campaign 9-3, advancing into the second round of the NCAA DII Playoffs.

The Beavers are set to open their 2024 season at home Aug. 29 against Michigan Tech.
