After helping South Carolina to an 9-3 season and near-miss berth in the College Football Playoff, Dowell Loggains is going to add some more Gamecocks flavor to his first staff at Appalachian State.
Sources tell FootballScoop that Ryan Yuracheck is joining Loggains's inaugural AppState staff as the program's tight ends coach.
Yurachek has been serving as assistant tight ends coach for Shane Beamer's South Carolina program, which closed the season with six consecutive wins and awaits a date with Illinois in the Citrus Bowl.
A former standout tight end at Marshall University who had a brief NFL career, Yurachek - son of Arkansas Athletics Director Hunter Yurachek -- is set to make the move after two seasons in the Gamecocks program.
He also coached at FCS program Austin Peay, helping the Govs to a conference crown and FCS Playoffs spot in 2022 after previously spending two graduate assistant years on Sam Pittman's staff at Arkansas.
