Former long-time University of Delaware head coach Tubby Raymond died today at 92. Raymond led the Blue Hens to three national championships over his 36 years as head coach. Please keep Coach and his family in your prayers.
Oregon: Newly named head coach Mario Cristobal is getting a 5-year deal and will earn $2.5 million, per a tweet from Bruce Feldman.
Arizona State: Head coach Herm Edwards will make $2 million annually, per The Arizona Republic.
Missouri: Barry Odom announced after practice today co-defensive coordinator Ryan Walters is being promoted to defensive coordinator.
Central Arkansas: Sources tell FootballScoop offensive coordinator Nathan Brown is a very strong candidate for the head job at Central Arkansas. We hear he could be announced within days. Will keep you posted.
Rice: Mike Bloomgren has his coordinators tweets Ivan Maisel. Michigan defensive backs coach Brian Smith will serve as defensive coordinator and North Carolina Central head coach Jerry Mack will serve as offensive coordinator.
Nebraska: Nebraska has now made it official, Scott Frost is bringing all 10 assistants from UCF. Troy Walters joins as offensive coordinator and Sean Beckton as tight ends coach. Strength coach Zach Duval is coming in the same capacity. Sean Callahan adds salary figures: Walters $700,000, Beckton $400,000 and Duval $375,000. // Brandon Helwig contrasts that with what they were making at UCF: Walters $350,000, Beckton $240,000 and Duval $170,000. Helwig added Josh Heupel had offered Beckton $350,000 to stay at UCF.

Special Teams Coordinator of the Year: Virginia Tech's James Shibest named Special Teams Coordinator of the Year (for the second time).
Mississippi State: Sources tell FootballScoop Duke offensive line coach Marcus Johnson is headed to Starkville in the same capacity. Of note, Johnson is a former All-SEC lineman at Ole Miss (Matt Luke was his position coach). Johnson, a Mississippi native, has been part of David Cutcliffe's staff since 2011.

Mississippi State: Sources tell FootballScoop Joe Moorhead plans to hire former Louisiana Lafayette head coach Mark Hudspeth as tight ends coach. Hudspeth previously served as head coach at both North Alabama and Louisiana Lafayette for seven seasons. Between those head coaching positions, Hudspeth spent two seasons coaching receivers at Mississippi State 2009-10.
Coastal Carolina: Marvin Sanders, the former Nebraska secondary coach who spent last season as the head coach at Loyola HS (Los Angeles, CA), has been hired as Joe Moglia's defensive coordinator.
East Tennessee State (FCS): Head coach Carl Torbush, 66, has announced his retirement. "I'm retiring, I'm not dead." The former North Carolina head coach won 11 games in three seasons as the head coach of the Bucs, a program he started back up after they last played in 2003.
Alabama State (FCS): After leading the program to a 5-1 mark as interim head coach,Donald Hill Eley has had the interim tag dropped and will lead the program going forward.
Tennessee: Jeremy Pruitt's term sheet, according to a tweet from Steve Berkowitz is for just over 6-years (through January of 2024) and includes a base salary of $3.8 million plus supplement for TV / radio appearances and other endorsements. Berkowitz adds that if Tennessee were to fire him without cause, he would be owed 60% of his remaining base salary + supplemental ($3.8 million for each year) through the end of his deal, and that amount is "not subject to duty to mitigate."

Northern State (D-II - SD): Northern State is accepting applications for a full-time assistant football coach, serving as the offensive line coach. Primary duties include coaching the offensive line, conducting daily offensive line meetings, planning and coordinating individual and offensive group practice drills, identifying and diagraming opponentβs plays, overseeing the academic progress of the offensive line, and scripting practice plans. Position will have a full-time recruiting area, experience in recruiting on and off-campus is preferred and will be a major part of the position. Apply via this link. Please, no phone calls.
South Alabama: In addition to the three mentioned below, sources tell FootballScoop Central Arkansas defensive line coach Larry Hart will also follow Steve Campbell to South Alabama.
South Carolina: Will Muschamp noted on Tampa Bay Sports Radio that co-offensive coordinator / wide receivers coach Bryan McClendon, who will call plays for the first time in the Outback Bowl following the dismissal of Kurt Roper, will have an opportunity to be the Gamecocks coordinator moving forward. Adam Rittenberg notes that UCLA offensive coordinator and interim head coach Jedd Fisch, and Toledo offensive coordinator Brian Wright will also get consideration.
Mississippi State: Tennessee defensive coordinator Bob Shoop is headed to Starkville in the same capacity reports Adam Rittenberg. We can confirm the planned hire.
Pitt State (D-II - KS): Head coach Tim Beck has announced a number of changes to his staff. Dave Wiemers, who spent the past decade as defensive coordinator, will transition to offensive coordinator. Safeties coach Nate Dreiling has been elevated to defensive coordinator, and former two-time All-American linebacker Josh Lattimer is returning to the program as defensive line coach after serving as defensive coordinator at Northeastern State (D-II) the past four years. Also, former All-American safety Keeston Terry has been hired as a full-time assistant working with the corners after being a graduate assistant last year in the secondary.
Air Force Prep: The Air Force Academy Prep School will not be hiring for the previous advertisement for an Assistant Football Coach/Instructor. That position will be adjusted. Instead, that position will be for an Assistant Football Coach/Strength and Conditioning Coach. That position will not become available until after the New Year, when more information will be posted. Anybody that applied for the previous position that is still interested in the new one will need to resubmit their application once it becomes open.
Coastal Carolina: Defensive coordinator Mickey Matthews, a great American, has announced his retirement from coaching. A three-time National Coach of the Year who won the National Championship at James Madison in 2004, Matthews served as defensive coordinator the past two seasons at Coastal.
Georgetown (FCS): Source tells FootballScoop offensive coordinator Mike Neuberger will not return.
South Alabama: Source tells FootballScoop Steve Campbell is planning, at this time, to bring Central Arkansas defensive coordinator Greg Stewart, safeties / special teams coordinator Matt Kitchens and receivers / recruiting coordinator Pete Bennett to South Alabama in the same coaching roles.
Gettysburg (D-III - PA): Longtime offensive coordinator Kevin Burke has been named the new head coach. Burke has been with the program 14 seasons and takes over for Barry Streeter, who decided to retire after leading the team for 39 years.
Texas A&M: Interim head coach Jeff Banks will earn an additional $75,000 for leading the team through the bowl game, and will get a bonus of $25,000 for a win, per multiple reports.
Cleveland Browns: Former Kansas City Chiefs GM John Dorsey, who has 26 years of player personnel experience, has been hired as the new GM of the Browns organization.
