Nick Saban addresses possible character concern in player with the coaching quote of the year

Today, during Alabama's Pro Day event in Tuscaloosa, Nick Saban addressed some possible character concerns NFL teams may have for Reuben Foster after he was sent home during the NFL Combine after causing a scene at a hospital that players were visiting while in town.

Foster has apologized and taken ownership for the isolated incident, and has met with a number of interested teams since.

But that didn't stop Saban for providing the coaching quote of the 2017 thus far when asked about it.

"I think anyone that thinks what happened at Indy could affect this guy's future in the draft is being very shortsighted. I mean, he's played here for four years, we've never had issues with him, he's always been a great leader, and is a signal caller for us on defense. He's bright, and he's always been a great team guy, always well liked by his teammates."

"So if you're looking for a good teammate, to be on your team, Reuben is going to be very, very good. If you're looking for someone to be a candy striper and be nice to everyone at the hospital, then maybe not."

Saban's humor had those there in attendance chuckling pretty good.
