More salary info being reported for Luke Fickell's assistants at Wisconsin (salary)

The LaCrosse Tribune has shared the salary information of three more members of Luke Fickell's staff.

Defensive coordinator Mike Tressel will make $750k this season and get a bump to $800k in 2024, Jack Bicknell Jr. will make $550k this season and $650k next season, and wide receivers coach / associate head coach Mike Brown will make $550k this fall.

No salary info has yet been shared for offensive coordinator Phil Longo, who was among the first key hires for Fickell. At North Carolina, Longo had signed a contract that paid him $900k annually, so it's fair to believe that he'll be making over $1 million in his new role in Madison.

The salary for new tight ends coach Nate Letton, who stepped into the role following the departure of Gino Guidugli for Notre Dame's quarterbacks coaching spot, is also currently unknown. As the Badgers tight ends coach, Gino was set to make $600k.

The other eight assistants, as previously reported by BadgerExtra, will make a combined $3.825 million.

When salaries for Longo and tight ends coach Nate Letton are eventually revealed, the total salary pool for Luke Fickell's group of coaches will likely be very similar to last year's assistant salary pool, which clocked in at just under $5.5 million.

Here's an updated look at the staff salaries all in one place.

All the assistants whose deals have currently been shared, have fully guaranteed deals through March 31, 2025, the report goes on to add.

Fickell, whose deal called for a maximum salary pool of $5.2 million for assistant coaches, will himeslf average about $7.8 million over the course of his seven-year deal. That is nearly $2 million more than the Badgers were paying Chryst.
