Matt Rhule and Nebraska reportedly adding Dana Holgorsen to staff

After struggling offensively the last several weeks during their three-game losing streak, Matt Rhule has found himself at the podium defending his offensive coordinator and the 100th ranked scoring offense in college football.

In his quest for answers, Rhule has reportedly decided to bring in a veteran offensive presence who has worked with a number of successful quarterbacks.

Former Houston and West Virginia head coach Dana Holgorsen is joining the Huskers staff, Pete Thamel shares this morning.

The report shares that Holgorsen will work with the offensive staff "in a role that will evolve as the season goes on."

Dana had been working on staff at TCU under Sonny Dykes, where he was a consultant studying offenses for the Horned Frog defensive staff.

The coaching veteran has experience working with quarterbacks like Geno Smith, Case Keenum and Brandon Weeden during his career calling plays, and should provide a fresh perspective with new ideas for both offensive coordinator Marcus Satterfield and high profile freshman quarterback Dylan Raiola.

Sam McKewon adds that Phil Snow, who served as Rhule's defensive coordinator at Temple, Baylor and with the Panthers, is also in town "as a fresh set of eyes" for the defense.
