You'll be hard pressed to find someone more passionate about Ole Miss football than interim coach Matt Luke, and that was on full display last week.
At 4-5, the Rebels aren't where Luke hoped they would be at this point in the season, so last week, while talking to the team before taking on Kentucky, he got pretty fired up after hearing it suggested that they no longer have anything to play for after back-to-back losses to LSU and Arkansas. Luckily, someone was able to capture Luke's response from the front row.
"We've got a whole staff full of families that live and die with every single damn day that we play. Every single one. Kids. Wives. Every one of them. And they're going to tell me that we've got nothing to play for?"
"That makes me want to puke. That makes me sick...because we have everything to play for, because we've been through more. It's more important than bowl rings, it's more important than that. It's each other. It's family. It's daughters. It's your mom, it's your dad. It's whoever means something to you. It's more than important than bowl rings!"
"I'm sorry for getting like this, but I've had enough. I'm, sick of it," Luke told his guys.
"We've got everything to play for because we've got each other, and that's all that damn matters."

With games against Louisiana-Lafayette, Texas A&M and the Egg Bowl season finale against Mississippi State, the Rebs could still get to 6-wins and bowl eligible, but it's going to be tough.
