Sources: Hue Jackson and Grambling are parting ways (Oakland Raiders)

Hue Jackson appears poised to close another unique -- and perhaps final -- chapter in his decades-long coaching career.

Jackson, Grambling's head coach the past two seasons, is set to part ways with the university after the Tigers finished their 2023 season Saturday in the 50th annual Bayou Classic.

A former NFL head coach with two different franchises, the Cleveland Browns and Oakland Raiders, Jackson owns coaching experience across five different decades.

After sitting out two seasons following his exit from the Cincinnati Bengals, where he had been assistant head coach and offensive coordinator, Jackson returned to football in 2021 as the offensive coordinator for Eddie George's Tennessee State program.

That work, along with his distinguished resume, helped Jackson land the job at Grambling, a storied, tradition-rich HBCU program in Louisiana.

Grambling won three games in Jackson's 2022 debut and completed a 5-6 season on Saturday, but is now set to part ways with the program.
