Notre Dame has been rolling out their weekly trick shot video for a few years now, but their episode for this week's game against Georgia Tech has a first.
This week's video takes place in the lobby of the Joyce Center's Heritage Hall, where the Fighting Irish have their seven Heisman Trophies displayed. And Johnny Lattner's Heisman plays a pivotal role in the video.
Traditionally, after the trick shot is made, the water in the cup gets dumped on the shooter, or the guy who assists off a bounce to put the ball in the cup...and that's exactly what happens here, and things get a little messy in the presence of some of Notre Dame's most precious trophies.
The video ends with one player pleading: "Do us a favor, don't tell Johnny Lattner (the Heisman winner whose trophy gets wet), or Jack Swarbrick (the AD)...or Chad [Klunder] (the associate AD for football operations)." If there is one guy in a program the players don't want to upset, well, its the head coach; but if there is one other guy, its the man who runs things behind the scenes, the DFO. #DontTellChad
