Sources: Presbyterian, Matt Rahl add two experienced offensive coaches (Featured)

With the NCAA's lone Transfer Portal Window at its midpoint, first-year Presbyterian coach Matt Rahl is working quickly to fill out his inaugural Blue Hose coaching staff.

Sources tell FootballScoop that Rahl has made a couple of additional offensive staff hires for Presbyterian, which is coming off a school-record season of double digit wins that saw Rahl guiding the offense and former head coach Steve Englehart turning the winning campaign into the top spot at West Georgia University.

For Rahl, he's adding Brandon Linney as the Blue Hose running backs coach. Linney arrives in South Carolina after spending the 2025 season as Bryant University's running backs coach, helping Elijah Elliott earn second-team all-conference honors, and after previously being on staff in multiple roles at HBCU program Norfolk State.

Linney previously coached at Missouri Southern, where his path first crossed with Rahl.

Additionally, Rahl is adding Caden Coulson for an unspecified, on-field offensive assistant coaching role. It's another experienced offensive mind for Rahl's staff, with Coulson previously serving as the offensive coordinator for Highland Community College in the junior college ranks.

He also has Missouri Southern ties; Coulson is a former fullback in that program who previously coached at Utah Tech.
