Louisiana Tech: Louisiana Tech has announced the hiring of Nate Warren as assistant AD for development. Warren was the assistant director for development at Kansas State for the past two years. 

Penn: Penn has retained Daniel Parker of Parker Executive Search as a consultant in their ongoing athletics director search. 

Rice: Rice has hired Bryan Blair as associate athletics director for compliance. Blair was previously the assistant director of compliance services at South Carolina. 

Hartford (FCS - CT): Athletic director, and special assistant to the President, Patricia H. Meiser has announced that she will retire on July 31, 2014. 

Amherst College (D-III - MA): Don Faulstick has taken over as the interim athletic director. Faulstick has been at Amherst College for 17 years. Also, former AD Suzanne Coffey is taking over as the Chief Student Affairs Officer.

Gulf South Conference (D-II): After 22 years, Gulf South Commissioner Nate Salant has told the Board of Presidents that he plans to retire come July 1, 2014.

Virginia Tech: The school will continue to pay former athletic director Jim Weaver a base salary of $469,529 annually for the next two years, according to the Collegiate Times. Weaver will stay on as a consultant to the university on athletic affairs. 

West Virginia: Athletic director Oliver Luck has told his coaches that they are free to offer multi-year scholarships to student athletes. "The reality, though, is it's so rare for kids' scholarships not to be renewed."
