Towson: Towson University is currently accepting applications for an Assistant Equipment Manager for Athletics to provide assistance to the management of the Equipment Rooms. Responsibilities: Independently manage a satellite equipment room for the sports of football, men’s and women’s lacrosse, field hockey and track/cross country; work practices and games for assigned teams, both at home and away; distribute, collect, inventory, maintain and repair equipment; communicate effectively with coaches, staff members, administrator and student athletes; communicate with procurement representative and vendors; supervise team managers, student staff and laundry staff; and other duties as assigned by the Director of Equipment. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree and two years of related experience required. The selected candidate must be certified by the AEMA or actively working towards certification; knowledge of football and football practice operations; and knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. A Criminal Background Investigation is required for the hired candidate and the results may impact employment.
