Mississippi Valley State: Reports out of Mississippi say that MVSU was not able to come up with the funds to hire Rick Comegy and his planned staff and will in turn make Morehouse head coach Rich Freeman their new head coach...next week. Surely nothing could go wrong between now and then, right? 

Itawamba Community College (MS): Nick Coleman has now been officially announced as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. 

Texas Tech: Riverside City associate head coach Darrin Chiaverini has been hired as special teams coordinator at Texas Tech. We pulled up some numbers on Riverside...they have gone 40-5 in the past four years...24 straight home wins. Nice.

South Florida: Doug Woolard will retire at the end of his contract in June 2015. 

West Alabama (D-II): The school has announced Roberto Pinilla as defensive line coach. 

Florida International: As expected, Steve Shankweiler has been promoted to offensive coordinator. 

Penn State: Sources tell us Western Michigan running backs Charles Huff will join James Franklin's staff at Penn State. Huff served on Franklin's staff as assitant special teams coach in 2011 and was assistant running backs coach for the Buffalo Bills in 2012.

Chicago Bears: Former Connecticut head coach Paul Pasqualoni will be the Bears' linebackers coach according to WSCR-AM in Chicago.

Washington Redskins: The franchise has announced that defensive backs coach Raheem Morris will be retained, and the hiring defensive line coach Jacob Burney and inside linebackers coach Kirk Olivadotti. 

N.C. State: N.C. State has announced the hiring of George Barlow as safeties coach. 

Maryland: The Terps have announced the hiring Kennan McCardell as wide receivers coach, Dave DeGuglielmo as offensive line coach and Chad Wilt as defensive line coach. 

Buffalo Bills: Former Tampa Bay safeties coach Jeff Hafley has landed a spot on the Bills' defensive staff.

Faulkner (NAIA - AL): Faulkner University has announced Blake Boren and Brandon Slay as co-offensive coordinators. Additionally, Henry Woodard will serve as the wide receivers coach. 

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: The team has announce the hiring of former Colorado head coach Jon Embree as tight ends coach. The Bucs have also announced Dave Borgonzi as a defensive quality control coach. 

South Florida: Director of player development Marquel Blackwell has stepped down. 

MidAmerica Nazarene (NAIA - KS):> Head coach Jonathan Quinn has resigned to accept the head coaching job at Davidson Academy in Nashville, Tenn. Defensive coordinator Paul Hubbard will be the interim head coach. 

Georgia Military College (CC): Update Georgia Military College has a WR job open. Position is an entry level full-time job with benefits. Housing included for single applicants. UAB: Jacksonville State head coach Bill Clark's formal interview will be Friday per AL.com.

New York Jets: Rex Ryan and the Jets have agreed to a multi-year extension per Adam Schefter. 

Memphis: Despite meaningful interest from other programs, sources tell us defensive coordinator Barry Odom is staying at Memphis. 

South Carolina: In addition to Steve Spurrier's one year extension and raise, all of the assistants received extensions and raises as well. Deke Adams, Kirk Botkin, Grady Brown, Shawn Elliott, G.A. Mangus, Joe Robinson, Everette Sands and Steve Spurrier, Jr., had their contracts extended through the 2015 season (each received a raise of $20,000 except for Mangus who got a $25,000 bump). Defensive coordinator Lorenzo Ward had his contract extended through 2016 and is now paid $750,000. 

Detroit Lions: Teryl Austin will be the Lions' defensive coordinator according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. 

Guilford College (D-III - NC): Guilford College has an intern position available. Compensation will be free housing and meals. Dakota State (NAIA - SD): Dakota State University is looking for a Graduate Assistant for the 2014 football season. The degree is in Educational Technology, pay is $12,000 and 2/3 tuition is covered. North Texas: Former South Florida assistant Kevin Patrick has been hired as North Texas' defensive line coach according to ProCanes.com.

South Carolina: Steve Spurrier's new contract that pays him $4 million a year runs through 2018 (when he would be 73) and will name him a university ambassador after he retires according to Andy Shain of The State. 

UC Riverside: Interim athletics director Jim Woolridge has been named the school's full-time AD. 

North Dakota (FCS): Luke Knauf has been named the offensive line coach at North Dakota. He previously served as the offensive coordinator at Western New Mexico. 

Ohio State: Former Colorado quarterback Cody Hawkins, son of Dan Hawkins, is now a graduate assistant at Ohio State according to Dave Biddle of 247Sports.

Penn State: Former West Georgia head coach and Georgia Tech, Georgia, Alabama, Duke, Clemson, Memphis, Texas and, most recently, Penn State assistant Mac McWhorter will retire, according to Bill O'Brien.

UAB: Falcons assistant coach Chris Scelfo is scheduled to interview for the UAB head coaching job according to Drew Champlain of AL.com. Bethune-Cookman head coach Brian Jenkins will also interview. 

Vikings: Norv Turner will be the offensive coordinator for the Vikings (per Schefter and Marvez) and Scott Turner is expected to be their new quarterbacks coach per Marvez. 

Illinois State: Sources tell us former Youngstown State receivers coach Kurt Beathard will be the new offensive coordinator at Illinois State. 

Eastern Illinois: Former Tulane receivers coach TD Woods is joining the Eastern Illinois staff in the same capacity.

Elon: Jerry Petercuskie is the new defensive coordinator / linebackers at Elon. Petercuskie last coached at NC State in 2012. Additionally, the school announced the hiring of defensive line coach Carlton Hall, defensive backs coach Terry Lantz, quarterbacks coach Scott Van Zile, tight ends coach Cris Reisert and wide receivers coach Billy Riebock. 

South Florida: Former Louisville receivers coach Ron Dugans will join the South Florida staff in the same capacity per sources. 

Nebraska: Sources tell us Air Force defensive coordinator Charlton Warren will join the Nebraska staff coaching the defensive backs. 

Midland University (NAIA - NE): Midland University is looking to fill a Defensive Graduate Assistant (Linebackers) position. The position is expected to start prior to spring practice but graduate work doesn’t begin until the fall. The position includes room, board, and tuition. Defensive playing and/or coaching experience is preferred and will be evaluated with priority.
