Head coaches get a big elaborate press conference complete with the band, loud cheers, and even cheerleaders on occasion when being introduced.
Assistant coaches tend to show up to the office and get right to work with much less fanfare. But when you stage a coup for the offensive coordinator at one of the top programs in the country like Alabama, coming up with something to illustrate the importance of his hire to your recruits and fan base is no small task. But an infographic loaded with the hire's body of work should do the trick.
Michigan released this infographic on the hire of Doug Nussmeier as their offensive coordinator, and I couldn't think of a better possible way for a program to inform one of the nation's largest fan bases of such a high profile hiring.
Well played Michigan.
