Embry Riddle (D-II - FL): Embry-Riddle University is looking for a PAID INTERN Strength and Conditioning Coach. This position will start in late July and end early May. All applicants must be highly motivated, with a strong work ethic, and wish to pursue a career in Strength and Conditioning. Duties will include programming and leading team workouts for assigned teams; working with athletic trainers and sports coaches; assisting with other sports teams. Required qualifications includes: A bachelor’s degree with CSCS certification or SCCC certification. This position pays 14,000 for 10 months and includes a meal plan. South Florida: The South Florida Department of Athletic Performance is accepting applications for the position of Strength and Conditioning Interns for the FALL 2016 semester. The successful candidates will be working with a variety of sports. Compensation: Division 1 experience with earned recommendation for future career opportunities. No monetary compensation will be provided. Must have a strong work-ethic and a desire to become a strength and conditioning coach. Northern Colorado: The Athletics Department at the University of Northern Colorado, an NCAA Division I institution and a Big Sky, Big Xll, and WAC member, is seeking applications for the position of Director of Sports Performance for Olympic Sports. Under the direction of the Director of Sports Performance, the selected candidate will assists in the day-to-day management of the weight room within UNC, Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Developing and implementing sports specific training programs for assigned teams with instruction of the proper biomechanics of Olympic, core, and accessory lifts. Also, implementation of sports specific speed, agility, and conditioning sessions, conduct safe and relevant testing and assist in intern/staff development projects. The position will have an emphasis on Basketball, Volleyball as well as Baseball. There will also be the opportunity to work with the football team. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology or related field. Master’s degree preferred. Three (3) years of S&C experience working with Basketball, Volleyball, and/or Baseball at the Division 1 level. CSCCa (SCCC) or NSCA (CSCS), as well as CPR / AED certification required. Demonstrated experience working with coaches to develop sport specific programs. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
