Samford: Samford University Department of Strength and Conditioning is now accepting applications for Strength and Conditioning VOLUNTEER INTERNS. Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to; assisting with supervision and execution of strength training programs for all Sports, teaching student athletes proper technique and equipment use, attending to the daily maintenance of the training facilities and participation in weekly projects and professional development throughout the internship program. Compensation: Division 1 experience with earned recommendation for future career opportunities. NO MONETARY COMPENSATION WILL BE PROVIDED. Candidates must have a strong work-ethic and have a desire to become a strength and conditioning professional. Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree or be in the last semester of coursework for undergraduate degree in exercise physiology or related field of study. Certification from one or more of the following (NSCA, CSCS; CSCCA, SCCC; USAW) are preferred. CSCCa mentorship program will be available for candidates seeking to obtain the SCCC certification. East Central University (Ada, OK): East Central University is looking for a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach for the fall of 2016. East Central University is located slightly over 1 hour southeast of Oklahoma City, 2 hours southwest of Tulsa, and 2 hours from the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. Part of compensation will require that you are eligible for Federal Work Study. USAW is preferred and CPR/First Aid required. CSCCa internship hours are under an approved CSCCa mentor. Limestone college (D-II - SC): Limestone College, a Division II member of Conference Carolinas, invites applications for the full-time, 12-month position of assistant strength and conditioning coach. Requirements; A Bachelor degree is required from an accredited four year institution in Sports Sciences or related field. This person will need knowledge of the rules and safety requirements for strength and conditioning. This includes but is not limited to teaching technique and safety measures for student-athletes competing at the collegiate level. Certification by the National Strength and Conditioning Association or other nationally accepted strength and conditioning certifying organization. Experience in the field of strength and conditioning at the collegiate level as well as knowledge of athletic injury prevention and treatment/modification protocols is preferred. This candidate must have a commitment to and responsibility for adhering to all rules and regulations of Limestone College, Conference Carolinas and the NCAA. The selected candidate must be willing to consent to, and pass, with satisfactory results, an investigative consumer report.
