Former NFL head coach and legendary defensive coordinator Buddy Ryan has passed away. LA Rams: Mike Singletary has joined the organization and will serve as a as defensive advisor. Singletary, the former head coach of the 49ers, last served as a linebackers assistant with the Vikings staff from 2011-2013.
Susquehanna (D-III - PA): Susquehanna University seeks an assistant football coach (running backs & tight ends). Preferred candidates will have prior experience playing or coaching college football. Candidates will be responsible for coaching their own position group, on the road recruiting in a specific area, film editing/breakdown (HUDL), and all other duties assigned by the head football coach. Gettysburg (D-III - PA): Gettysburg College is seeking an intern for the sports of football (offensive skill position) and men’s and women’s indoor/outdoor track & field: Responsibilities include practice planning and coaching (offense in football and multi events in track & field), strength and conditioning, and recruiting. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the Director of Athletics as required. Bachelor’s degree required. This appointment begins immediately and will continue through May 2018. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively in the environment of an academically demanding liberal arts institution with NCAA Division III athletic philosophies and policies, have outstanding interpersonal skills and organizational skills. First Aid/CPR certification is required. The individual is eligible to participate in the College’s fringe benefit program, including: medical, dental and vision insurance. Texas A&M: New Aggies AD Scott Woodward will earn a base salary of $900,000 annually on a five-year contract according to Ben Baby of the Dallas Morning News. Woodward earned $550,000 at Washington.
Rutgers: Rutgers has an opening for a football video assistant. This is a full-time, salary job with benefits. Majority of responsibilities will involve XOS Thunder work, little to no post-production responsibilities. UTSA: Assistant AD for football Tony Jeffery has left the program. Jeffery, who formerly coached receivers at UTSA and Houston, had been promoted to assistant athletic director in March.
Methodist (D-III - NC): Methodist University is accepting applications for 2 full-time position at this NCAA III institution and proud member of the USA South Athletic Conference. Responsibilities will include, JV Offensive Coordinator (preferably QB's/WR's) and JV Defensive Coordinator (preferably DL/LB’s), and assisting the head coach in all aspects of organizing the varsity team, developing and implementing best practices for our football program in accordance with NCAA III and Methodist University guidelines, regulations and philosophies. Florida International: FIU Football is currently seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Video Coordinator for the 2016 Football Season. Responsibilities will include filming practice as well as assisting the Video Coordinator with editing practice and highlight videos. Requirements: 1) Experience working within sports, preferably Football 2) Basic knowledge operating a camera and a computer 3) Knowledge of XOS editing system 4) Experience with Adobe Premier Pro or other video editing platforms The chosen candidate will function as the Assistant Video Coordinator through the season with the potential to continue on into the spring as well.
