Last Chance U: Netflix has ordered a second season of Last Chance U, with East Mississippi Community College continuing as subject. "Coach Buddy Stephens, Academic Advisor Brittany Wagner and the entire team at EMCC have bravely opened their doors for the filmmakers to capture their real world as it unfolds. We eagerly anticipate having a front row seat as they continue to fight for their dreams in the coming season," Netflix VP of original documentary programming Lisa Nishimura said.
Florida State: Defensive coordinator Charles Kelly and a number of other Florida State assistants have gotten raises. Kelly will make $833,000, which is a nice bump from the $583,000 he made last season, and he will see raises of $25,000 each of the next two seasons. Each of the assistant coaches all got $9,000 raises as well from their 2015 salaries including; tight ends coach Tim Brewster ($442k), defensive ends coach Brad Lawing ($424k), offensive line coach Rick Trickett ($424k), quarterbacks coach / co-offensive coordinator Randy Sanders ($592k), wide receivers coach / co-offensive coordinator Lawrence Dawsey ($472k), defensive tackles coach Odell Haggins ($472k), running backs coach Jay Graham ($412k), and linebackers coach Bill Miller ($412k).
Elizabeth City State (D-II - NC): Per source, former Detroit Lions quarterback Johnny Johnson has been named quarterbacks coach.
