Since Notre Dame Stadium is currently under construction, fans won't be able to take in the Spring game as they normally would, so the Fighting Irish have decided to use the opportunity to connect with their fan base in a unique way.
One lucky fan will have a chance to participate in the Blue-Gold game by having his (or her) play called. All they need to do is take a photo of the play they want called, or record an explanation of it and tweet it with the hashtag #NDCallThePlay.
The opportunity has brought out some rather interesting suggestions from fans, and they include everything from the fun, to the logical, to the nostalgic, and some that are just downright strange. On a personal note, I feel like if the play isn't designed to score a fat guy touchdown, it's a wasted suggestion (see the last tweet). Everyone loves fat guys touchdowns.
