Northwestern's new basketball jerseys have got to be among the most unique uniforms ever, and what they've done could easily spread to college football.
The "By The Players" uniforms were a direct result of players collaborating with Under Armour and some of the touches, including a video game controller, a BBQ grill, headphones, and various basketball and Chicago/Evanston inspired wording, are extremely unique.
Think about how this could impact recruiting for programs looking for an edge. Giving players some ownership in uniform design? Wow.
Great move by Northwestern here, because even if they aren't the most popular with fans, giving players ownership in something like uniform design is a bold, and classy move.
