Iowa State: Assistant strength coach Brett Bueker will remain on staff, the school has announced.
Vermont: The University of Vermont Athletic Performance Department is now accepting applications for a fulltime Coaching Assistant position w/ no benefits, for the spring semester of 2016. The selected candidate will begin as soon as possible. The responsibilities of the candidate will be facility operations as well as assisting with the implementation of training programs of multiple teams. The position also will also be in charge of running a group fitness class that is run out of the Athletic Performance facility through campus recreation for additional pay, with other in house possibilities to supplement income. Preferred qualifications include a prior internship in the collegiate setting, a Bachelorβs Degree in an exercise related field and CSCS, SCCC, or USAW certification, as well as CPR certification. The ideal candidate must be energetic, outgoing and have a great work ethic. This position will help the candidate gain entry into the field of collegiate strength and conditioning. This position has a 1 year commitment, with another year contingent on performance during the first year. Louisiana-Lafayette: The University of Louisiana-Lafayette Strength & Conditioning Department is currently accepting applications for volunteer interns for Football. These positions will start immediately. Qualifications: Ideal candidates will possess a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and a strong desire to become a Strength & Conditioning Professional. Weekends may be required. Compensation: This is an unpaid voluntary position. Candidates will gain experience training Division-1 athletes, exposure to sports nutrition, and potential to earn recommendation towards future employment in the field. UL Strength & Conditioning is a class credit friendly institution.
