Northwest Missouri State (D-II): NW Missouri State University, a NCAA Division II member of the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association Conference, is accepting applications for a Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for the school year 2014 - 2015. Applicants must have a strong desire to pursue a career in strength and conditioning. NW Missouri State seeks qualified individuals preferably with collegiate experience to assist with all 12 Division - 2 varsity athletic sports and cheer squad. Primary responsibilities include assisting with the supervision and execution of training programs, assisting the strength staff in all phases of the program including upkeep of facility. Secondary responsibilities will be working with assigned sports. Qualifications include strong work ethic, punctual, and enthusiastic. Also prior weight room experience via previous coaching experience and/or a background as a competitive athlete. Bachelor's degree in a related field required. Certifications in one or more of the following is preferred, but not required: SCCC, CSCS, and USAW. Knowledge in the area of sports nutrition a plus. Position is open until February 18th, 2014. Eastern Illinois: Sources tell us that Riley Allen has been hired as the new strength coach at Eastern Illinois. Allen previously served as an assistant strength coach at New Mexico State.
