The state of Texas is home to a number of ridiculously nice high school football stadiums where millions upon millions of dollars were invested into making them some of the best stadiums in the country.
Allen HS made waves back in 2012 when they opened their $60 million stadium that seats 18,000 (with 6,500 of those with some premium bench-back seating). A a few years later some extensive cracks started to appear in the structure of the stadium and Allen made headlines again for the wrong reasons as they fought to get them repaired.
Now, Ashton Washington and MaxPreps take cameras behind the scenes to show off one of the nicest high school football stadiums in the country, complete with a weight room that spans 85 yards, a 874-square foot HD video board, one of the nicest press box setups you'll ever come across, and a host of other amenities.
Allen isn't the only high school stadium in Texas with a "wow" factor. McKinney ISD recently opened their $70 million stadium, and Katy ISD opened up Legacy Stadium in 2017 for $70.3 million, and Cy-Fair ISD put in an $80 million stadium that opened in 2006. The Lone Star State has a handful of others that cost $30 million or more as well.
