This mic'd up session with Kliff Kingsbury is one of the best that 2016 has offered up so far.
First off, Kingsbury explains the importance in how he approaches his players before practice even gets started.
"I think it's important each day to let the players know that when they're coming to practice for the coaches, that you appreciate them, and you're happy to see them, you're glad that they're there."
"I know it always meant a lot to me when a coach would recognize that I was there and say a little something prior to practice."
Then, just before the 3-minute mark, Kingsbury talks about the one drill they do every day that they're in pads. They call it "Bull in the Ring," but it looks very similar to what most programs call the Oklahoma drill. Kingsbury explains that the reason behind why they do it, and it goes beyond just the physical nature of the drill.
"It gets things cranked up really, more than anything. You come out here, and it could be hot, or you could've had a test that day, but as soon as you circle up that 'Bull in the Ring,' and you're thrown into the ring, hey, that's all that matters. You're going to get your focus going and it'll get you geared up."
"We like to do some form of that every day that we have pads on, and it's good for our players."
