Leading up to the actual bowl games, sponsors and the bowl locations typically do a great job entertaining fans, and especially the two participating teams.
I can remember bowl games sponsoring events including a chow down between two teams to see who could eat the most steak, and I'm sure the Buffalo Wild Wings sponsored bowl had something similar, as well as dance competitions, shopping spree competitions, and all sorts of different events.
So when the Bad Bow Mowers Gasparilla Bowl was announced as a new bowl sponsor a few weeks ago, it was impossible to not wonder what they'd have up their sleeves.
Yesterday, one of those competitions was revealed, and it fittingly featured a lawnmower race pitting an FIU player against a Temple player.
What transpired was pure bowl fun, with FIU offensive lineman Shane McGough navigating the course like someone who clearly knows his way around a zero-turn lawnmower. After the win, his teammates stormed the track to celebrate.
