LSU: Louisiana State University is currently accepting applications for 5 Spring 2020 Volunteer Internship positions. Qualified candidates would work with the Football Strength and Conditioning Department as well as other Olympic sports. This is an unpaid position that is responsible for assisting the LSU Strength and Conditioning staff with the implementation of the Off-Season program, set up and break down of all workouts, maintenance and upkeep of the weight room and facility, and hands on experience training collegiate athletes. Required qualifications include completion or current pursuit of an undergraduate degree in exercise science or a related course of study, a desire to become a strength and conditioning professional, and possess a strong work ethic. Participation in Collegiate Athletics is preferred. Other preferred qualifications include certification from an accredited organization, previous coaching experience, and proficiency in teaching and performing Olympic movements. There is no monetary compensation so if this position is not an economically feasible option for you, please do not apply. Mississippi State: The Mississippi State Football Strength and Conditioning Department is now seeking applications for UNPAID qualified Strength and Conditioning Interns for the SPRING of 2020. This is an UNPAID position that is responsible for assisting the MSU Strength and Conditioning staff with the implementation of the WINTER training program, set up and break down of workouts and maintenance / upkeep of the weight room. This internship also provides educational courses for professional development in the field of Strength and Conditioning, Coaching and Certification Preparation. Preferred qualifications include Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree, CSCS or CSCCa certifications, CPR/AED certifications and experience participating in Collegiate Football/Athletics. Tarleton State: The Tarleton State University Athletic Performance Program is accepting internship applications for the Spring 2020 semester, with a starting date on or before January 13,2020 and an end date of May 8,2020. The internship hours may be countable toward the CSCCa’s Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified practicum requirements, and/or for college credit if needed. The volunteer internship will involve active experience in an NCAA Division II Athletic Performance program under the supervision of a 36-year veteran Master Strength and Conditioning Coach and his staff. Qualifications: Applicants should be pursuing strength and conditioning as a profession and possess, or currently be working on, CSCCa, NSCA, or USAW certification. Compensation: This is an educational internship with no monetary compensation provided. However, opportunities for advancement in the field of strength and conditioning are possible for successful interns.
