Minnesota: The University of Minnesota Strength and Conditioning Department (Cal Dietz) is seeking highly motivated applicants to fill SUMMER 2018 (May 14 – August) sport science internship positions. Individuals will gain knowledge and experience in a Division I Collegiate Strength and Conditioning setting. This internship can be used for course credits. Daily responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Download/analyze Catapult and Polar Team 2 data from practices/games/training sessions Conduct and analyze weekly Omegawave tests Download/analyze force plate data Professional development, including various educational assignments during the internship Assisting with supervision and execution of strength training programs Assisting with daily operations and facility/equipment maintenance Responsibilities will be assigned as they are earned. Interested applicants must exhibit effective communication skills, positive energy, attention to detail, sense of urgency and strong work ethic. QUALIFICATIONS: Currently pursuing bachelors/masters in exercise science or related field, certified in CPR/First Aid, a strong desire to become a Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coach and pursuing CSCCA or NSCA certification(s), and proficient in technology. COMPENSATION: This is an un-paid volunteer position. Interns will have the potential to earn recommendations for future career opportunities. Oklahoma: Source tells FootballScoop Oklahoma is hiring Bennie Wylie as head strength & conditioning coach. Wylie was head strength coach at Texas Tech the entire time Lincoln Riley coached there. He then went on to serve in the same capacity at both Tennessee and at the University of Texas. Wylie currently operates his own facility in Abilene, TX.

Purdue: Purdue Strength and Conditioning – OLYMPIC SPORTS is currently accepting applications for UNPAID internship positions for SUMMER 2018. The deadline for application is April 30, 2018. The internship will begin June 4th and conclude August 3rd (9 week duration). Intern responsibilities include; assisting with the training of all sport teams, participating in weekly educational sessions, and completing all tasks assigned by strength staff. Central Connecticut State: Central Connecticut State University invites applications for the position of Assistant Sports Performance Coach. CCSU competes at the NCAA Division 1 level, and is a member of the Northeast Conference for all sports. Football competes in the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision. Description: Central Connecticut State University is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Sports Performance coach. This is a 12 month part-time position reporting directly to the Director of Sports Performance. Applicant will be responsible for design, implementation and supervision of assigned sports. They will also assist the Director of Sports Performance with Football. Applicant must possess good organizational and communication skills. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in related field, master’s degree preferred. CSCS or CSCCa certification and prior experience at the collegiate level required. Extensive coaching experience with Olympic lifts and knowledge of conjugate/concurrent periodization is preferred. A criminal background check will be required for the hired candidate and the results may impact employment. Personal qualifications desired are a highly motivated individual that is professional and dependable. Stevenson (D-III - MD): Stevenson University has a full time / benefit strength position open working with Football. Candidate must be CSCS, must have experience with Football, and experience working at the collegiate level. This position will also service some additional teams.
