Temple: The Temple University Football Strength and Conditioning Staff is looking for 2-3 qualified strength and conditioning interns for Fall 2018. Responsibilities include: assisting with the supervision and training of Temple University’s football program, assisting with daily administrative and maintenance duties and other duties as assigned by the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. This is anunpaid internship. However, candidates will receive Division I Intercollegiate experience, college credit towards graduation if applicable and will be involved in the CSCCa mentorship program necessary to achieve the SCCC certification. Preferred qualifications: Pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in exercise physiology or related field; NSCA-CSCS or USAW certifications; CPR certification. Experience in a Strength and Conditioning Program or having previous collegiate athletics experience is preferred. Having a background in performing and coaching Olympic lifts is preferred. Old Dominion: The Old Dominion University Sports Performance Department is currently accepting applications for the role of volunteer intern for the 2018-2019 academic year. This is an UNPAID position that will report directly to the Associate Director of Athletic Performance and will assist, as needed, with all day-to-day operations of Sports Performance for ODU’s varsity athletic programs. The chosen candidate(s) may also earn the opportunity to design and implement sport-specific training for teams as designated by the Associate Director of Athletic Performance. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in a field related to Exercise Science, First Aid/CPR/AED Certification, working towards the completion of a CSCS (NSCA) or SCCC (CSCCa) certification. Preferred qualifications: CSCS (NSCA) certification, SCCC (CSCCa) certification, previous strength and conditioning internship experience, and/or other previous athletic experience. Mercer: The Mercer University Strength and Conditioning department is now accepting intern applications for the Fall 2018 semester. Applicants should be enthusiastic, highly motivated, hardworking and interested in a future in the strength and conditioning field. This is an UNPAID position, but candidates will be assisted in finding housing, if necessary. Interns will have the opportunity to COACH ON THE FLOOR with all 18 Division 1 sports at Mercer. Previous intern or athletic experience at the collegiate level and First Aid/CPR certification is preferred, but not required. East Central: Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for the fall of 2018, East Central University (Ada, OK). Located slightly over 1 hour southeast of Oklahoma City, 2 hours southwest of Tulsa, and 2 hours from the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. Federal Work Study eligibility will aid compensation but there are other forms of compensation if not eligible. USAW is preferred and CPR/First Aid required. CSCCa internship hours are under an approved CSCCa mentor. Newberry (SC): Newberry is looking to hire a 8 Month Strength and Conditioning Assistant Intern position. Compensation includes, a monthly stipend, Housing, and a Meal plan. Primary responsibilities include: Designing and implementing strength and conditioning programs for assigned teams. Upkeep of the daily maintenance of the weight room. Educational assignments as assigned to develop as a strength and conditioning professional. Job Requirements: Passion for Strength and Conditioning, punctual, ability to multi-task, willingness to learn, highly energetic, basic knowledge of programing for multiple sports. A Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in an associated field of Study. NSCA or CSCCA Certification Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification is required. A Valid driver’s license and access to a personal mode of transportation.
