Ohio State: As we wait, and wait, and wait for a verdict out of Columbus, Dave Biddle of Bucknuts tweets that Ohio State's Board of Trustees wants to reinstate Meyer immediately, president Michael V. Drake wants Meyer to serve a suspension, but that Meyer "refuses" to serve a suspension because he "thinks he did nothing wrong." Stay tuned.
Ohio State: Discussion on Urban Meyer could go on for "a while," and an Ohio State spokesperson would not commit to an announcement coming today, tweets Tim May of the Columbus Dispatch. Update: "Progress is being made," Ohio State trustee Clark Kellogg said during a break in discussion. Kellogg said Meyer has not been in the room during any discussions.
Texas A&M: Jimbo Fisher's 10-year, $75 million contract is finally finalized and published. Jimbo would owe the school zero buyout if he left for another job.
South Dakota State (FCS): AD Justin Sell told the Argus (S.D.) Leader that head coach John Stiegelmeier should get a new, multi-year contract after this upcoming season. Stiegelmeier is 147-97 in 22 seasons at SDSU, including an 11-3 mark with a trip to the FCS semifinals last season. He is in the final year of a 3-year contract signed in 2016.
NCAA: Central Arkansas AD Brad Teague has been named chairman of the FCS selection committee for the 2018 season.
Florida State: Chief of staff David Coburn has been named interim AD. AD Stan Wilcox left this week for an executive vice president role with the NCAA.
Ohio State: The Ohio State Board of Trustees meeting to decide Urban Meyer's fate is underway as of 9 a.m. ET. A final decision could come at any point after the meeting adjourns. Stay tuned.... Update:An announcement will come today, according to a tweet from Eleven Warriors.
