Oregon State: Former Beavers wide receiver James Rodgers has joined the staff as director of player development.

Arizona: Arizona has announced Kevin Sumlin's first coaching staff. Noel Mazzone will be the offensive coordinator and coach quarterbacks, Clarence McKinney running backs, Joe Gilbert offensive line, Taylor Mazzone outside receivers, and Theron Aych inside receivers. Marcel Yates will lead the defensive staff as coordinator and linebackers coach, while Demetrice Martin will handle corners, Josh Rushing safeties, Iona Uiagalelei defensive line, and Jeremy Springer will serve as special teams coordinator. Chuck Cecil has been retained as a senior defensive analyst.

Bret Bielema: Bielema and Arkansas have reached an agreement to pay the former Hogs coach a $11.935 million buyout, paid out in monthly installments through 2020. That amount will be offset by any future employment Bielema takes. Either way, Bielema will take home roughly $350,000 a month over the next three years. A strict read of Bielema's contract shows he was owed just under $6 million. His representation argued the deal was meant to be that he was owed over $15 million. The parties clearly met in the middle with this settlement. Further proof that regardless of what side of the table you are on, you want Jeff Long negotiating your deals.

Syracuse: Manvel HS (TX) head coach Kirk Martin will join the Syracuse staff as quarterbacks coach reports Michael McAllister, who adds Martin's son is married to Dino Babers' daughter. Martin has consistently developed quality football players and young men while at Manvel.

Indianapolis Colts: Dave DeGuglielmo has been hired to coach the Colts offensive line, most recently with the Dolphins, per a tweet from Ian Rapoport.

Jerry Kill: Jerry Kill has been announced as an ambassador for the university at Southern Illinois. He led the Salukis to five straight playoff appearances as SIU's head coach from 2001-07.

Virginia Tech: VT has announced an extension for head coach Justin Fuente, as well as a raise for him and his staff members. We cover the details here.

New York Giants: Hal Hunter, who coached the Browns offensive line in 2016, is being hired to coach the offensive line on Pat Shurmur's staff, per Alex Marvez.

McDaniel College (D-III - MD): McDaniel College Football program located in Westminster Maryland is looking to fill an open date for the first week of the 2019 and 2020 seasons. Open dates are September 7th 2019 and September 5th 2020. Robert Morris (NAIA - Chicago, IL):Robert Morris is looking for a 2018 season game on one of the following dates: 8/25, 9/29, or 11/10. If interested, please contact Erik Osborne at eosborne@robertmorris.edu.

Miami Dolphins: The Dolphins are hiring Tony Oden as their new defensive backs coach, per multiple outlets. Oden most recently coached the corners for the Lions from 2014-17.

Jackson State (FCS - MS): Per source, Austin "AJ" Smith has joined the staff as quarterbacks coach. Smith was previously the quarterbacks coach at Southeastern University (NAIA - FL) and also worked with Hal Mumme at SMU.

NCAA: A new bylaw proposal would make all players free agents in the event their head coach leaves or gets fired.

Arizona Cardinals: Kirby Wilson is a "strong candidate" to return to the staff as running backs coach, according to Alex Marvez. Wilson has coached running backs in the NFL since 1997; he worked for the Cardinals from 2004-06 and spent the past two seasons with the Browns.

Virginia Tech: Director of player development Adam Lechtenberg has been named the Hokies' 10th assistant as assistant head coach and executive director of player development. The Hokies note that Lechtenberg will continue in a typical player development role overseeing the roster with the added bonuses of being able to go on the road recruiting and to serve as an on-the-field coach as needed. Lechtenberg does not have a specific positional assignment.

Wofford (FCS - SC): Wofford pays tribute to Mike Ayers, who led the program for 30 years, in a video that will surely tug at your heart strings.

Notre Dame: Terry Joseph has been formally announced as safeties coach. He has previously coached defensive backs for Louisiana Tech, Tennessee, Nebraska, Texas A&M and North Carolina.

Tennessee: Phillip Fulmer would like to stay on as Tennessee's AD for "five, six years," he said in an interview with Sports Radio WNML in Knoxville. “I think it’s crucial that we have stability all around us,’’ Fulmer told the station.

Texas Tech: Western Michigan offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach Kevin Johns has joined Kliff Kingsbury's staff as offensive coordinator and inside receivers coach. Prior to joining the WMU staff, Johns worked under Kevin Wilson at Indiana for six seasons in a variety of roles including offensive coordinator and quarterbacks and wide receivers coach.

Holy Cross (FCS - MA): Holy Cross is seeking two volunteer quality control positions, one offensive and one defensive. Ideal candidates will have a passion for football, a relentless work ethic, and a desire to learn. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to break into the profession of college coaching. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: video upload, operational tasks assigned by the Head Coach, opponent film breakdown/reports, and game week preparation. Candidates should be adept at learning new technology, in addition to being skilled in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and XOS. Occidental (D-III - CA): Occidental College is looking to hire a full-time offensive coordinator. This is a 12-month position with an excellent benefits package. Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred as well as three years of college coaching experience. Buffalo Bills: John Butler, who previously coached the secondary for the Texans, is being hired to coach the secondary for the Bills, Alex Marvez tweets.

Tennessee Titans: The Titans are adding Rams special teams assistant Tyrone McKenzie, a former linebacker for the Patriots, as inside linebackers coach, per Tom Pelissero.

Arizona: Former UCLA defensive backs coach Demetrice Martin has now officially joined the Arizona staff in a similar role source tells FootballScoop.

Fayetteville State (D-II - NC): Fayetteville State University is seeking applicants for the position of offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach. Candidates must demonstrate exceptional knowledge of offensive strategy. Additional responsibilities include: recruiting an assigned area, and to assist in student – athlete retention and development. As a full time, 12-month, benefits-eligible role, the successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree, at least 5 years coaching experience, and demonstrated success as a coach, recruiter, and strong interpersonal skills. LA Rams: Following the departure of Matt LaFleur to the Titans, the Rams have promoted offensive line coach Aaron Kromer to run game coordinator and tight ends coach Shane Waldron to pass game coordinator.

Detroit Lions: Source tell FootballScoop that UConn special teams coordinator Chris White will be the new tight ends coach for the Lions.

Norwich (D-III - VT): Per source, offensive coordinator / offensive line coach Carl Mintken has left the staff to pursue an opportunity outside of coaching.

St. Scholastica (D-III - MN): The College of St. Scholastica seeks an offensive coordinator / QBs coach. Responsibilities include coordinating the offense, coaching the QB's, recruiting and mentoring a diverse team, assisting in the weight room, academic oversight, and all duties as assigned. Tennessee Titans: The Titans have managed to lure former Ravens defensive coordinator Dean Pees out of a month-long retirement to be their new defensive coordinator. Pees' son, Matt Pees, who is the head coach at Green Mountain HS (CO), has also accepted a position on staff to work with his father. Also, Rams offensive coordinator Matt LaFleur has joined the Titans staff as offensive coordinator. Update>> The Titans have now announced both additions.

East Stroudburg (D-II - PA): East Stroudsburg University has an open date week 10 (November 3rd, 2018). We would like a Division II opponent if possible. Please contact defensive coordintator Chadd Braine at cbraine@esu.edu.

Independence CC (JC - KS): UW-Stevens Point (D-III) director of player personnel and video operations Drew Brusoe has left to become the director of football operations and social media director at Independence CC, per source.
